Cocoa powder is a key ingredient in chocolate and a number of chocolaty goodies, such as brownies — with or without nuts — or chocolate cake in a regular oven, coal oven or gas oven or chocolate ice cream in a bucket.
Uses
Cocoa powder is a key ingredient for a number of cocoa-based foods:
- brownies along with cake flour, eggs, sugar, and either butter or margarine in any of the regular oven, coal oven or gas ovens.
- brownies with nuts along with cake flour, eggs, sugar, nuts and either butter or margarine in any of the regular oven, coal oven or gas ovens.
- chocolate from cocoa paste, cocoa powder, sugar, and milk using a whisk and a pot of stone, copper or steel on a propane-fired campstove.
Chocolate is the key ingredient in the following:- Chocolate chip cookies using chocolate in pastry dough with sugar in either a regular oven or gas oven (but not coal or convection oven)
- Chocolate covered banana by dipping bananas into a pot of stone, copper or steel of molten chocolate over a hibachi, campstove, or deck grill.
- Chocolate covered strawberries by whisking strawberries into a pot of stone, copper or steel of molten chocolate over a hibachi, campstove, or deck grill.
- S'mores uses chocolate, marshmallows, and cookies over a small fire pit or fireplace.
- Sweet pizza uses pizza dough topped with chocolate, creamy cheese curds, peppermint, and raspberries in a regular oven, coal oven or gas oven.
- chocolate cake from cake flour, eggs, sugar, milk, and either butter or margarine in any of the regular oven, coal oven or gas ovens.
- chocolate ice cream along with milk and sugar in a iron or wooden bucket with an ice cream crank.
- hot cocoa by putting it into milk with sugar over a campstove or by the fireplace.
- hot cocoa with marshmallows by putting it into milk with sugar and adding marshmallows over a campstove or by the fireplace.
