Swamps are often completely empty of resources and the possibility of adding new resources had been discussed, but there's no telling when this might happen if at all. Like deserts, swamps are also often located far away from other places and there is no food to be found. They often have swamp snakes, though, if you don't mind grilling snake meat.

Sea is what covers most of Cantr and it can only be traveled on with water vehicles, excluding dugout canoes, ferries and rowing boats. There have been plans to allow fishing from boats, which would suggest that seas have fish in them, but apparently it hasn't been implemented yet.

Outside locations in Cantr belong to one of the many terrain types, and this can affect what sort of resources can be found there, although sometimes resources could be found or missing in unlikely environments. Originally terrain types were also supposed to affect how many buildings can be built in that location, but due to some sort of a bug, the limits were never taken into account and by the time it was discovered, so many locations had crossed the limit that enforcing them would've been unreasonable.

Land

Grassland

Grasslands are colored bright green on the map, and have a picture of grass on the location page. Common resources include grass, stone, vegetables (such as potatoes), grains (such as wheat), hemp, cotton and sand.

Mountains

Mountains are colored gray on the map, although on some regions they can also appear white. That most likely symbolizes snow capped mountains but since Cantrians are immune to cold, it's just something that could be acknowledged in rp. Almost all mountains have stone, and various metals, ores and gems can also be found. There's generally no food available unless you count meat gained from hunting.

Hills

Hills are rather similar to grasslands in terms of resources but surprisingly much less likely to have stone, and more likely to have some metals. They are a less bright shade of green on the map compared to grasslands and often show a ripply pattern.

Desert

Deserts are very barren regions and rarely have anything more than sand, although salt, soda and oil are sometimes found. Also they are usually far away from their neighboring locations, so unprepared travelers may risk starving to death while crossing them. Deserts are bright yellow on the map.

Swamp

Swamps are often completely empty of resources and the possibility of adding new resources had been discussed, but there's no telling when this might happen if at all. In the past at least some of them used to have water as a natural resource, but when wells and water pumps were introduced, all natural water sources got nuked. Like deserts, swamps are also often located far away from other places and there is no food to be found. They often have swamp snakes, though, if you don't mind grilling snake meat. Swamps on the map look like transparent blue dashes on a green background.

Forest

Almost all forests have wood, and many also have resin or timber. Other common resources include coal, bananas, various berries and mushrooms. There's usually no food to harvest so people have to rely on hunting but at least fuel for cooking is readily available. The outdoors version of a hammock can only be built in a forest since it's presumably attached into trees. Forests are dark green on the map and there are little arcs of darker green on it.

Plains

Plains are rather barren places that tend to have mud, grass and gas but usually no other resources. They are colored a dull, yellowish green on the map.

Beach

Beaches generally have sand and often also seaweed, mud or fish. Salt is also pretty common. Beach locations are usually on the yellow strip next to water.

Tundra

Tundras are even more awful places than swamps and deserts. As with swamps, there have been plans to add new resources to them but there's no telling when that might happen.

Jungle

Jungles are similar to forest but much rarer, and more likely to have tropical fruits and rubber. They also have a neater graphic on the location page.

Water

Water areas are blue on the map. Lakes and seas don't have a different color but Cantrians are able to tell the difference if in a location that's next to a body of water.

Lake

Lakes are water areas not connected to the sea, and they can only be traveled on with water vehicles, big ships excluded. Sometimes roads may pass over a lake since they are interpreted as a straight line between two locations, but people should rather imagine they're walking around the shore although many take it as wading. There are no locations on the lakes so naturally there are no resources either.

Sea

Sea is what covers most of Cantr and it can only be traveled on with water vehicles, excluding dugout canoes, ferries and rowing boats. There have been plans to allow fishing from boats, which would suggest that seas have fish in them, but apparently it hasn't been implemented yet.
