Kilns are useful for towns with access to wood or firewood, but poor access to coal. Charcoal is a very useful material for towns wishing to smelt iron without having to use coal, which is rare and hard to get in some areas of Cantr. For a smaller, less efficient version, see the small kiln, which doesn't require clay to construct.
Kilns are a must for any town or organization wanting to build window glass, which is needed for most of the motorized land vehicles.
With the brick mould, used to make brick, needed for putting up the relatively quickly constructed Brick building.
With the vacuum tube mould it's used for making radio vacuum tubes, needed in electronics.
Required in the same location to make earthenware items from clay.
