These are foods based on some kind of flour (barley, cornmeal, rice, rye, sorghum, wheat), or cake flour or pastry dough. (But not fish flour) Even though the word "bakery" implies that these foods are baked in an oven, here the list is expanded to include other means, such as by using a flattop griddle.
Items here may include different kinds of bread, cookies, cakes, muffins, donuts, tarts, and/or pies, to name a few.
Pastries are bakery items made with some kind of shortening along with dough or flour. In Cantr, there are two kinds of shortening: butter made from churning milk, and margarine made from churning olive oil.
For foods made from pizza dough, see pizza dishes.
