The sawing post is a machine built with wood, stone, and four medium logs. When used with a saw, it is faster than a primitive sawing post and has a better rate of converting timber into either wood or lumber.
A medium log can also be produced if there is a sawing post in the room. Unlike sawing timber for lumber, firewood, or wood, the medium log is chosen from the game's build menu. The option to create a medium log this way can be found under Semi-finished products in the sub-menu Logs.
