Stew is made from meat which is mixed with barley, or with potatoes and carrots.

A pot of stone, copper or steel is required to prepare stew on a small fire pit, fire place, or deck grill. Stew made from vegetables cooked in a primitive oven or regular oven, coal oven or gas oven requires a knife, bone knife or bronze knife.
