Kisiel is made from
potatoes and either
blackberries,
strawberries,
blueberries or
raspberries on a
campstove, using a big pot of
stone,
copper or
steel.
In real life kisiel is an East European food, known in Russia, Poland, Finland and around that area. The potatoes in the recipe are to simulate potato flour. The resulting outcome is like a thin jelly. In real life the recipe also contains sugar and other fruits which may be substituted for berries.
