Now that wood is a seperate product that has to be obtained from timber using various new machines, all of the outputs given here need to be reconfirmed. Firewood is now a new and separate resource that is collected in several biomes now, including hills, grasslands and swamps.

This is how wood is now gathered (or "collected" as the game puts it) as of 04:38, 13 May 2021 (UTC). Notice that for wood there is still an entry for the 3/4 axe, but this tool is not used for harvesting timber. This may all change in the future.
WOOD:
Note that in one day one person can only collect 300 gram. The number of turns will be rounded upwards. The end result will have a random deviation (max 20%) of the amount you ask for.
- If you have axe, you can collect 600 grams a day.
- If you have 3/4 axe, you can collect 480 grams a day.
- If you have steel battle axe, you can collect 450 grams a day.
- If you have stone axe, you can collect 399 grams a day.
- If you have stone cleaver, you can collect 375 grams a day.
- If you have bronze axe, you can collect 600 grams a day.
