Large bones are used to make many primitive items, including: the bone club, bone flute, bone hide scraper, bone shield, bone rattle, as well as some clothing and jewellery.
Large bones are included in some cooking recipes, and can be assumed in some to simulate offal or marrow.
Uses for large bones
Large bones can be used to make:
- aspic with meat and water in a tandoor
- broth with water on a campstove
- haggis with mutton and barley on a deck grill or small fire pit
- marshmallows from aspic with sugar in a mixing bowl
- menudo with beef and lemons on an hibachi
- plum pudding with cake flour, raisins, eggs, and brandy in a convection oven
