As a new player, this was a little confusing, and resulted in a lot of wasted time in trying to coordinate my characters. In-Game Time revolves around a slightly different syste to the real world: 20 days to a year, 8 hrs in a day, each of which is 36 minutes long... At least, in Cantr-time. It seems -- from casual observations, so someone will have to confirm this -- that one Cantr day is still equivalent to one real-world day: the clock seems to tick three times slower than real life. So, every three real-world hours will result in one in-game hour 'ticking over'. Minutes (and seconds: there are still 60 of these), thereby, last almost twice as long as in RL (they are are really 36/60'th of a second long: a little bit longer than twice as long.)

In-game, time and dates are referred to in a format such as "1247-7". This indicates that it is the 7th hour of the 1247th day. Tomorrow (one day's time -- both in the real world and in the Cantr world) will be day 1248. "Years" are not referred to, as such, and are only used (for all I can see) in [[In_Character|IC]] conversation, and keeping track of characters' age.

Cantr Time revolves around a slightly different system than the real world: 20 days to a year, 8 Cantr-hours per day, each of which is 36 Cantr-minutes long. The current Cantr-time can be found at the top of any player or character page, once you have logged in.

Cantr/Real-World time

One Cantr-day is equivalent to one real-world day. So, every three real-world hours will result in one Cantr-hour 'ticking over'. Each Cantr-minute is equivalent to five real-world minutes. Cantr-years are used only for role playing purposes and character aging.

Time References

A Cantr-date is a daily-incrementing number. Time and dates are referred to in a format such as "1247-7". This indicates that it is the 7th hour of the 1247th day.

Reoccurring Events

Each day your character will auto-eat at approximately 5:24:00 Cantr-time (19:00 GMT).
