You have 120000 and 72691g of iron ore.. The correct amount would be 220000 and 163553g respectively. Please rework your numbers. I sort of lost energy and started doing other things, but this is good stuff and should be included in the main article after I gone over it a bit.. Ad Talk:Comparative value of steel

You have 120000 and 72691g of iron ore.. The correct amount would be 220000 and 163553g respectively. Please rework your numbers. I sort of lost energy and started doing other things, but this is good stuff and should be included in the main article after I gone over it a bit.. To make 100 kg steel you need 60 kg iron when using coal, I just checked a current steel project in game. To make 60 kg iron you need 120 kg iron ore when using coal, I just finished a project of this kind. The numbers I found for using gas are taken from the wiki, but are the same as the ones you found. --LimSup 06:06, 27 May 2007 (EDT)
I don't think you understand what I mean. Let me clarify. You have:
120000g iron ore = 171.4 batches (days) -- This is the wrong amount. 220000g = 314.2 batches, then it matches up with the rest.
132000g coal = 314.2 batches (days)
440000g limestone = 314.2 batches (days)
Same goes for the gas amounts, as I noted in the first post.. Ceselb
Yes, I don't understand what you mean. What should "match up with the rest" (what rest)? I just started some projects to check the amounts (sorry it's german, but you will understand the numbers).
PROJEKT: Manufacturing steel (coal)
benötigte Tage: 14.375
Materialien: Eisen (0 grams used of 6000 grams needed), Kohle (0 grams used of 6000 grams needed), Kalkstein (0 grams used of 20000 grams needed)
Objekte:
Werkzeuge: Blasebalg
Anzahl: 10000
For 10 kg steel I need 6 kg iron, 6 kg coal, and 20 kg limestone.
PROJEKT: Refining iron ore (coal)
benötigte Tage: 17.25
Materialien: Eisenerz (0 grams used of 12000 grams needed), Kohle (0 grams used of 7200 grams needed), Kalkstein (0 grams used of 24000 grams needed)

Anzahl: 6000
For 6 kg iron, I need 12 kg iron ore, 7.2 kg coal, and 24 kg limestone.
In summary, for 10 kg steel, I need 12 kg iron ore, 13.2 kg coal, and 44 kg limestone.
Also the number of days you state for gathering the resources are not the numbers I get. From where do you get the number of 314.2 batches per resource?
And as I said before: The numbers for "making steel using gas" are (with minor rounding) the same numbers you stated on Comparative value of steel --LimSup 11:13, 27 May 2007 (EDT)
