did you include the raws needed to purify gas into propane? myszaq 19:16, 7 January 2007 (EST)

  • No, I didn't, good catch, fixed. Ceselb 09:21, 8 January 2007 (EST)

Chars do use propane a lot, often coal is used to purify the gas, not wood. Frits 00:43, 9 January 2007 (EST)

I made a comparison of using gas against using only coal. If you have all the drills and short transport ways, using coal seems to be better than using propane. --LimSup 11:12, 26 May 2007 (EDT)

    • 18173g propane
    • 181724g limestone

total: 208 days

RESULTS

only coal:

  • Only required tools, no drills: 1701 days, 58.7 g/day
  • Best tools, no drills: 1009 days, 99.1 g/day
  • best tools, all drills: 708 days, 141.2 g/day

gas and coal, no wood:

  • best tools, all drills: 750 days, 133.3 g/day

gas and wood, no coal:

  • best tools, all drills: 766 days, 130.5 g/day

MACHINES AND TOOLS

Number crunching again, I calculated that you can even get better than 141.2 g/day by producing the iron with propane (purified with coal) and the steel with coal. This way you get more than 145 g/day. Of course under the assumption that you have all the drills and machines in one place. --LimSup 14:58, 15 August 2007 (EDT)

How about this practically irrelevant process?
