Rice is one of the more common resources that can be eaten raw without any form of preparation. Using the cooking skill a character can process the rice into a multitude of more nourishing dishes.

It can also be used to make some non-edible resources, like rice paste and polished rice.

Projects where rice is used

Rice can be used to make:

• andouille in a hibachi
• congee with a pot of stone, copper or steel on a campstove
• polished rice using a millstone or manual grain grinder
• rice cakes on a drying rack
• rice paste in a dessicator or on a drying rack
• rice pudding on a kitchen table or in a mixing bowl
• steamed rice with a wooden or reed steamer in a regular oven, coal oven or gas oven
• sushi using a makisu
