A newspawn is the commonly used word to refer to a new character in town. Newspawns are created at 20 years of age. One problem is that a 20-year-old and a 29-year-old look identical, so the only indication of a person's age is their position on the People page. Sometimes there have been suggestions that newspawns should look visually different, because 199 days is a long time to play and many people quit during that time, never making it into their thirties.
