Weather was introduced to Cantr in December 2013. Weather can be viewed on the location page and it's visible to people outside, including in vehicles, on deck of ships and walking on roads. As of January 13, 2014 it's also be possible to see the weather through a window when indoors.
Different areas have different weather and may also have a different season. Places next to each other are more likely to have similar weather. Most areas have 4 seasons, while some only have 2 or 1.
Possible current weather statuses:
- Blizzard
- Clear
- Cloudy
- Downpour
- Drizzle
- Foggy
- Hail
- Light snow
- Rain
- Snowfall
- Storm
- Sunny
- Unexpected downpour
- Very sunny
Some of the weather statuses create an event message when they start, such as rain, snow or fog. Neutral ones (sun, clear, cloudy) do not trigger an event message.
The weather system also includes wind, that can come from any direction.
Status messages:
- Windless
- Very weak wind
- Light wind
- Moderate wind
- Fast wind
- Very fast wind
- Gale
Currently weather doesn't affect anything, but in the future it's likely to affect things like sailing speed and other things.
