The lake is a location type in Cantr. It is a body of water completely surrounded by land. To traverse it you need certain types of water vehicles, big ships excluded.
Unlike travelling on land, sailing the lakes is roaming free, as opposed to land movement that strictly follow roads.
On lakes you can extract water using a solar still.
Sometimes roads may pass over a lake since they are interpreted as a straight line between two locations, but people should rather imagine they're walking around the shore although many take it as wading. There are no locations on the lakes so naturally there are no resources either.
