Vehicles will usually decrease the time taken to travel between places, assuming the roads allow for the vehicle to do so properly. Vehicles can also enable characters to transport more than they would be able to on their own. New vehicles automatically come with a lock, which is locked (thus preventing people stealing your new vehicle!)
