This, as Sho has noted, isn't really the appropriate use for the community portal:

[12:31] <Sho> also, we need to do something about the community portal
[12:32] <Sho> people have been dumping all sorts of cantr-related links on it
[12:33] > I see. What do you think should be on it?
[12:33] <Sho> editor stuff
[12:33] <Sho> that's what's done on wikipedia, for example
[12:34] <Sho> the idea is that the "wiki community" means the people who go there often and edit

Can we agree on a common number format at least within the English part of the wiki? Both "English" and "Continental" decimal place separators ("." & ",") have been used in various places. As a starting point the Wikipedia style manual recommends "." as the decimal separator C.f. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_%28dates_and_numbers%29&section=16#Numbers_2 . I appreciate that the other languages may very well use a comma separator but I'd prefer it if we used "." for the English text --Chris Johnson 07:20, 7 Apr 2006 (EDT)

  • How many pages have I edited? Does it go by how many different pages? Joshuamonkey 17:13, 11 May 2006 (EDT)
    • That information is not readily available unless you have been keeping count yourself - it may be to Sysop's but we have no active Sysop. It takes a lot of work for me to calculate the top 10 users , consequently it won't be done again for a few months . All edit sessions are counted - not just unique pages --Chris Johnson 01:34, 23 May 2006 (EDT)
      • Is it the same amount that is on "my contributions?" Joshuamonkey 23:11, 23 May 2006 (EDT)
        • No as that figure is censored by time and total number --Chris Johnson 06:37, 24 May 2006 (EDT)
