Description and uses
The composite recurve bow, sometimes abbreviated as a CRB, is the most powerful weapon in Cantr without metal parts. However, it is quite complex in construction.
Part of its popularity in Cantr stems from its earlier existence as the "war bow," a simple but effective weapon made from iron and wood.
Real-life context
A recurve bow is one where the bow doubles back on itself, and thus the bowstring touches the bow. This results in more springiness and a faster/stronger arrow flight.
"Composite" indicates that the bow is made of several materials (in the past, sometimes animal cartilage), further adding to the springiness of the bow.
So, in-game, this bow is manufactured of multiple materials, and is of a recurve design.
