A small cart is built 'on' the smaller steeds, domesticated ostrich, donkey, or white donkey, to extend cargo and passenger capacity capacity. Disassembling the cart yields back the unhitched cart.
You must mount the steed to start the project. First an unhitched cart is built, and then assembled on the steed. You cannot lock it in any way.
