The drop spindle is used to make yarn from various cloth materials. Yarn can be further processed into cloth or string using the loom and twiner respectively.

Projects

The drop spindle is a portable machine, so starting a project requires two steps. First, with the drop spindle on the ground, "use it" in the Objects screen to create a project. Second, pick up the drop spindle; like a tool, it must be in the worker's inventory for the project to progress.
