Description and uses
The longbow is the simplest weapon that uses a bowstring. Many of the longbows in Cantr are left over from when the "hunting bow" was a cheap weapon that could be made with only wood and no tools.
Real-life context
The longbow is a basic bow, shaped from one piece of wood. No bow-sights are attached.
