In Cantr you can give names for all the [[character]]s, buildings, vehicles and locations you see. The names you have given are only known by yourself (unless you mention them in speech or on notes), other [[player]]s cannot see them - so you can include little memos in them such as "Town Guard John Doe (shot me, revenge later)" or "Our cottage - Key nr 1234567" or "Coal Forest (has wood, hematite)". Your imagination is your limit. Just remember to avoid the common brain fart of accidentally clicking on the Talk icon and whispering a person's name to them upon trying to rename them - even worse if non-flattering comments was included. The renaming box is found on the character description page, which is the first thing you see upon clicking on the character's name (or the short description tag that says something like "a man in his twenties" if you haven't named the person yet).
