Primitive items are the most basic and simple tools and machinery in Cantr. They are often made of basic materials such as [[firewood]], [[stone]], [[small bones]] and [[large bones]], and [[seashells]] to name a few.

Primitive items, particularly those made of [[bones]] (for example the [[bone knife]]) can no longer be repaired in-game.

For a society to become more advanced, the graduation to metal-based tools and machines using [[iron]], [[bronze]], and/or [[steel]] results in more durable goods and machinery. However, for those civilizations just starting out, primitive tools can help tremendously.
