These are foods based on some kind of flour ([[Barley flour|barley]], [[cornmeal]], [[rice flour|rice]], [[rye flour|rye]], [[Sorghum flour|sorghum]], [[wheat flour|wheat]]), or [[cake flour]] or [[pastry dough]].  (But not [[fish flour]]) &nbsp;  Even though the word "bakery" implies that these foods are baked in an oven, here the list is expanded to include other means, such as by using a [[flattop griddle]].

Items here may include different kinds of bread, cookies, cakes, muffins, donuts, tarts, and/or pies, to name a few.  

Pastries are bakery items made with some kind of shortening along with dough or flour.  In Cantr, there are two kinds of shortening: [[butter]] made from [[butter churn|churning]] [[milk]], and [[margarine]] made from churning [[olive oil]].
