===Vehicle constants===
Each land vehicle or ship has a base speed and a weight effect, which are listed on the vehicle's own wiki page.

The base speed determines the speed at which the vehicle moves, were there no load. A vehicle with a larger base speed will usually go faster than a vehicle with a smaller base speed. Base speeds of ships and land vehicles are not comparable, because the land vehicle's base speed must be multiplied by the road factor.

The weight effect determines how sensitive a vehicle's speed is to the load on the vehicle. A vehicle with a larger weight effect will be slowed less by a heavy load.

===Load weight===
The load on a vehicle is determined by adding the weights of all the items on board. Objects and raw materials are added wherever they are. Machinery, including engines and locks, are also counted in the load. Passengers are counted as weighing 60000 grams each.

===Road factor===

Ornithopter:

An alloy made from [[iron ore]], [[limestone]] and some type of fuel ([[propane]], [[coal]] or [[charcoal]]) in a [[smelting furnace]] or [[primitive smelting furnace]].

Can be further processed into [[steel]] using a [[smelting furnace]], but not a [[primitive smelting furnace]].

Used for creating essential [[:category:tools|tools]], [[:category:machinery|machinery]], and [[:category:attack items|weapons]]. The lifeblood of any productive town.

Trivia: In the early stages of the game iron was available from the ground in pure form, but as the game was enhanced this was changed to more accurately reflect the process involved.

Though not much use as a weapon, the humble bone knife is one of the simplest but also most useful tools, fulfilling all the duties of a [[knife]], but requiring only small bones to make. You will need a knife to make a variety of things, including clothes, other tools, basic weapons, and protection. It also helps you gather [[apples]], [[bananas]], and [[grapes]] at a faster rate.

Resources must be either digged for, farmed, or collected on a location when your character is outside, or it can be produced using a machine. For those that you can find outside on a location, there is a maximum number of people that can be gathering resources at a location at any time.
