This is the first page you will see after login. On top is a Player Info section where you have information about yourself as the [[player]], and a '''Change''' button which opens a page where you can change your account details, and see the names of all your characters including the dead ones.

Next is the Messages section with important messages from the [[Cantr Staff]]. These messages can be removed when you have finished reading them if you choose. The are often included at the top of your Day Report if you need to refer to them.

Next you will see the Characters List which shows all of the characters you have created. Listed are the name of your characters (oldest at the top), their sex, their location and progress indicator(s). '''P''' is short for "project," '''T''' for "travel," and '''D''' for "dragging." The progress for these activities is displayed as the percent finished or traveled. Sometimes you will see two progress indicators for one character. This is usually because your character is working on a project while traveling in a vehicle. If the name of your character is displayed in white, then some new event(s) has happened. If nothing new has happened it will be displayed in gray.

The events page is central to playing Cantr. It will be the first page to load when you start playing a character. It displays everything your character sees and hears.

To say something that will appear on the screen of every character in the same place (not counting those who are in buildings), type into the box at the top and click '''Talk to all'''. (Talking to an individual character will be covered later.)

Below this is the list of things that are happening where you are. The events are listed with the most recent activities at the top. Each activity is time-stamped with the Cantr day, hour and minute.

Every character that appears on the events page will be displayed in orange. This is a link to the [[character description]] page, where you can change the name you know them by, talk to them, help them and many other things.

Every building or vehicle that a character enters or leaves will be displayed in orange. This is a link to a page where you can see the name of the building or vehicle, change the name you know it by, or (if you have a [[signwriting]] tool) change the real name of it. That page can also be reached from the [[Buildings & Vehicles page]].

This gives a list of every [[character]] in the same location. It is also the same page that will appear when you click on a character's orange link from the events page (but only for that particular character or, in the case of an event with multiple participants, the people who took part in that event).

Dragging alone only works if you're much stronger than the target, or if they are heavily wounded. You cannot use this button to drag a person that is already being dragged by another one. Instead you must use the help button of the other one.

The material used for all of the best weapons and vehicles. Arguably the most valuable and sought after resource in Cantr. A society must be fairly developed to output significant amounts of steel, so don't be suprised if you don't come across any steel early in your character's life.

Made from a fuel ([[propane]] or [[coal]]), [[iron]] and [[limestone]] using a [[smelting furnace]] and a [[pair of bellows]]. Propane is a more effective method, but not all places have it so they use coal instead.

==Overview==

Some vehicles require engines to be built inside them in order to run. There are four types of engines.

[[Car engine (A)]] and [[car engine (B)]] can be built in the same vehicles, and either one will power the vehicle. However, the B engine makes the vehicle travel 10% faster.

Engines will accept fuels just like any other storage device. The amount of fuel consumed during travel is determined by the following equation (where "**" means "raised to the power of"):
